The 17th of the SPRUANCE Class of destroyers built, the USS Conolly was commissioned on 18 September 1978 and served proudly for almost 20 years.
On the obverse/front side is the official emblem of the USS Conolly with full enameled color and highlighted with an antique gold finish.
A dynamic, 3D bow image of the USS Conolly at sea is seen on the reverse/back side and is adorned with emblems of the fleets she was a part of during her time of service: SECOND Fleet, SIXTH Fleet, SEVENTH Fleet and COMIDEASTFOR (now FIFTH Fleet). An impressive memento, this commemorative coin would be a great addition to any former crewmember's collection as well as other collectors of unique and rare coins.
